According to a 2006 study conducted by The American National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), in 80 percent of crashes and 65 percent of near-crashes, there is some form of driver inattention within three seconds before the crash.

Cell phones are the biggest culprits of driver inattention.

According to a report by “The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society”, over 2,600 automobile deaths are caused by cell phone related distractions.

Over 330,000 people in the United States sustain injuries from cell phone distracted drivers.
