These words of wisdom from the twenty-eighth president of the United States, Woodrow Wilson, truly expressed his ultimate goal of world peace and international collaboration.

This honorable American leader used his powerful influence as president to encourage cooperative world associations and negotiations in order to maintain peaceful relationships globally....

In 1982, United nations took the initiative to celebrate September 21 as International Peace day by a resolution sponsored by the United Kingdom and Costa Rica.

Since then the day is celebrated as a symbolic gesture to remind the society about strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.To help those children, who have been denied a better education, to help those mothers and children fighting malnutrition.John Steinbeck, the famous author and pulizter prize winner once said 'All war is a symptom of man's failure as a thinking animal'.Orwell conveys each of these killings as “one mind less, one world less.” World peace would be an important goal to work towards.Many wanted to achieve world peace, however, there were many different visions for how this could be accomplished.For the greater good within us, we would all like to live in a world without war, a world where competition is replaced by co-operation and individual freedom....[tags: Terrorism is Inevitable] - Woodrow Wilson’s Hope for International Peace “There must be, not a balance of power, but a community of power; not organized rivalries, but an organized peace.” (Cooper 366).Humanity can no more afford wars and terrorist acts.We have realized that no terrorist acts, violence and wars have actually solved any of the worlds real problems.World also witnessed how nuclear strikes can annihilate humanity.
